Autothermal reforming (ATR)

Autothermal reforming is the most cost-efficient technology for high capacities with minimized СО₂ emissions
ATR could be designed based on the following capacity options for various types of units:
  • From 2,500 tons per day for ammonia plants
  • From 3,000 tons per day for methanol plants
  • From 200,000 Nm3/h for hydrogen production plants

    ATR benefits:

    • In case of methanol production, this technology makes it possible to significantly reduce utility consumption (electricity, steam export, natural gas rate, oxygen consumption, etc.) and to optimize OPEX
    • In case of hydrogen production, this technology guarantees high carbon capture efficiency (99+%), is characterized by high scalability (above 600 thous. Nm3/h per train) and ensures a relatively low cost level
    • In case of ammonia production, this technology provides high production capacity per train and is characterized by high scalability, safety and environmental friendliness of the process.
